The Lapland-Virus
The
" adventure Lapland" began when we was
infected by the "Lapland virus" on our first trip to the north. Back
again in Flensburg was the longing to the next trip, to the endless
wide of Lapland, to the midnight sun, to the silent and the barren
in this landscape, powerful. The year after we started the Northkap
trip with a good plan and everything was gone good. Above 4
weeks we lived in a VW-bus and we had a feeling of to bee free like
a bird. And the weather was great! After this trip it's a matter of
course, our way in holydays is gone to the north, to LAPLAND!
In the end of the
nineties our first trip in the Autumn to North Sweden. The mountains
had the first snow on the tops. The mosquitoes has disappeared,
the birches was yellow coloured, the aspen and the rowan was red. In
the mountains was the dwarf birches and the grouse berries red
coloured. This time we call -Ruska-, a firework of colours!

After that trip came the first trip in the Winter to Lapland. Which
many plans and preparations vi started after the Christmas
Day 1999 with a motor home to the north. We had learn us to live
some weeks in and with the coldness. The water were frozen and we put on
us many clothes, we felt like snowmen's. And then came the moment
when I saw the first time in my live the northern
lights! I was bewitched. This trip intensify the wish to live sometime in the future in Lapland.

One
and a half year later my dream was reality.
In the summer 2001 I left Germany. My new live began in Gällivare
and I started a new job. A very god friend lived there too.
Since that time I work
and live here. I have a wonderful husband
who know all about the nature. We like the nature and enjoy spending time
in this
great and wonderful landscape in all of the seasons.
